Which Habits Matter Most?

Good, bad, or indifferent, we all have habits. We know that some of our habits aren’t so great, and most likely we have some thoughts in the back of our minds about habits we think we should probably strive to have—like healthier eating, more exercise, better sleep patterns, etc.

But which habits are most important? Which ones really matter the most in regard to our personal success and happiness?

I recently re-shared an infographic on LinkedIn about the habits of successful people versus unsuccessful. The infographic includes a contrast of 9 different habits of each “category” of individual. Obviously the list is a general one with blanket statements that cannot apply to everyone, and of course success is defined differently by different people. But I do think this list provides some very good food for thought:

Successful People: · Read every day · Compliment · Embrace change · Forgive others · Talk about ideas · Continuously learn · Accept responsibility for their failures · Have a sense of gratitude · Set goals and develop life plans Unsuccessful People: · Watch TV every day · Criticize · Fear change · Hold a grudge · Talk about people · Think they know it all · Blame others for their failures · Have a sense of entitlement · Never set goals

What are your thoughts? Which of the habits listed above would you consider to be most important? Which ones make the biggest difference in your own life and success? What other habits would you add? I look forward to further discussion of this topic!

Please note: I do not know who originally created the above infographic or penned its content. I do not claim authorship, nor do I argue in favor of every statement expressed within. I share this infographic for the sake of interest and discussion.
