Here is a great question to honestly and very carefully ponder!
Do you intentionally and consistently seek out and learn from people who can teach you?
You, like me and every human on the planet, can significantly improve in virtually 100% of every area of your life—whether personal, professional or organizational. Whether our leadership, relationships, contributions or accomplishments, each and every one of us can improve.
This week I am honored to once again be serving as a moderator at the excellent Becker’s Healthcare Conference in Chicago. As a moderator, I have the unique opportunity to meet, interact with, and learn from dozens of outstanding, highly credible and successful leaders, presenters, and panelists.
Every time I come to a Becker’s conference or similar event, I eagerly seek to learn from the virtually limitless wealth of knowledge and wisdom found here. I do this by intentionally meeting new people and sitting in on great presentations and discussions, taking pictures and notes, and simply conversing and listening.
I also am blessed with the opportunity and ability to conduct simple, brief, and unobtrusive video interviews with many of the presenters, panelists, and other leaders who help make these events great. I love that this not only allows me to learn from these outstanding men and women, but to also share their insights with thousands of other people via LinkedIn and AmericasHealthcareLeaders.com. While I know not everyone will share my interest in what these leaders have to say, I also know there are many who will—people like me who are seeking to learn!
No one knows even a small fraction of it all. And no one lives, works and serves at 100% of their potential. Absolutely no one!
Great, penetrating, critical question! Do you intentionally and consistently seek out and learn from people who can teach you?
