Peter Fine, president and CEO of Banner Health, made the following statement during a live, one-on-one interview at the Banner Health headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona:

“Be Visible. Visibility breeds credibility and credibility breeds trust, so if you want to be trusted, you better be visible.”

I had asked Fine a question regarding becoming and remaining a highly successful leader. His excellent response certainly carries great weight, as it comes from the leader of a highly credible and successful organization. Banner Health has hospitals and other healthcare facilities from Alaska to Arizona. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Banner Health is one of the largest, not for profit health care systems in the country and the leading nonprofit provider of hospital services in the communities they serve.

Regarded and recognized as a top health system in the country for the clinical quality consistently provided to patients, Banner Health operates 29 hospitals, including three academic medical centers and other related health entities and services in seven states.

Banner Health has grown and improved significantly in every important measurement since Fine was appointed president and CEO in November 2000. Banner employs more than 45,000 people and is Arizona’s largest private employer.

Listen, learn and apply this highly impactful leadership principle from one of America’s highly successful healthcare leaders!

“Be Visible. Visibility breeds credibility and credibility breeds trust, so if you want to be trusted, you better be visible.”
