Regardless of political party and certainly many personal, professional, and organizational weaknesses, each and every former President of the United States achieved the most powerful, prestigious and influential leadership position in the world!
They overcame many weaknesses, mistakes, and perceived limitations. They focused on and leveraged their strengths, particularly their leadership strengths, to become the leader of the free world. Each achieved what billions of people around the world believe is the absolute pinnacle of personal and professional success. Each became President of the United States of America.
The question is: what can we learn from them? What can we learn from the different leadership strengths each focused on, leveraged, and applied to become President of the United States?
It is my firm belief that regardless of political preferences, each of us can learn and apply powerful lessons from the leadership of former United States Presidents. I believe that excellent leaders and highly successful people focus on strengths. They do not focus on weaknesses. They minimize or even ignore weakness and focus squarely on strengths.
So why not learn from the leadership strengths that worked for former Presidents of the United States?
We are less than a month away from the release of my new book, Presidential Leadership: Learning from United States Presidential Libraries & Museums.
