“Inside every impossible is the word ‘possible’… if only we dare to see it.”
– Lysa TerKeurst
Have you ever been told something was impossible? Have you ever told yourself that something was impossible? Whether it was loudmouthed naysayers or your own quiet doubts, I’m guessing you’ve probably been there before. We all have.
Think back over your life and career…
Scoring a date with your high school prom queen? Impossible.
Beating the state record in college athletics? Impossible.
Getting into that elite internship or residency program? Impossible.
Landing your dream job just out of college? Impossible.
Receiving that promotion and big raise next year? Impossible.
Launching your own successful business? Impossible.
Writing and publishing a bestselling book? Impossible.
Retiring early? Impossible.
Whatever your goal or dream might be, the word “impossible” too easily suffocates and silences it. But as Lysa TerKeurst points out,
“Here’s the thing about impossible: there is some part of what we’re attempting that isn’t impossible. All impossibilities have a weak spot. And that’s the exact place where we must attack.”
Forget the naysayers. Ignore those whispering doubts. Overcome the intimidation factor. Look for that weakness inside the supposed impossibility. Look for what IS possible. Focus on that one thing, achieve that one thing, and you can beat any “impossibility.” Because inside every impossible is the word ‘possible’ – if you only dare to see it!
