A Grateful Heart (a Superb and Beautiful Video!)

Gratitude is a truly refreshing sentiment. We all enjoy being the recipients of genuine gratitude – it feels good to be recognized and appreciated! But more than receiving gratitude, I think nothing does the soul more good than feeling and expressing heartfelt thankfulness.

Think about it, when we are truly grateful toward others, when we are thankful for all the little blessings in our lives, and when we foster true appreciation for the gift of life itself, we are freed from so many burdens!

Sincere gratitude lifts the burdens of resentment and jealousy and replaces entitlement with contentment. Gratitude helps soothe stresses and fears. It can free us from depression and sorrow, and it can transform anger into joy. Sincere gratitude brings with it a profound sense of peace and happiness unattainable by any other means.

I recently watched the video below, titled Gratitude HD – Moving Art™ by filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg. The narrator, Brother David Steindl-Rast, beautifully reminds us of the Gift of Today, which we should never take for granted.

I encourage you to watch the video – I guarantee, it’s well worth your time! Then spend some time reflecting on the gifts each day offers you, and commit to fostering a grateful heart.

Remember, gratitude is even more powerful when it is expressed than when it is received!
