In the excellent book titled The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea, The Chairman, a hugely successful and wise entrepreneur and business leader comments on the coffee just served by Rachel.  Rachel is a member of the staff at The Chairman’s mansion and estate.

The Chairman comments to his student and mentee named Joe, “I’d bet that one day [this coffee] will be famous worldwide.  Rachel is very special.  Been with us for about a year now, but I expect she’ll be leaving us before long.  I’ve been encouraging her to open a chain of coffee houses.  Her coffee is too good not to share with the world.”

As the fascinating story and book continues, Rachel does not reappear until the last chapter.  In the meantime, The Chairman does what The Chairman does best.  He gives, he coaches, he helps, he shares, and he serves so effectively and with such positive impact that his student and mentee ends up in a position to help, give, partner with and serve Rachel.

Rachel reappears in the last chapter.  She is now building a very successful company, including a chain of coffee houses that are having a positive impact on people and communities around the world!  And, she is building this wonderful community-minded company with the help of The Chairman’s student and mentee, the man named Joe.

Rachel is not the only one who has something “too good not to share with the world.”  Each and every person reading this article has unique strengths, talents, abilities, perspectives, experience, and wisdom that is “too good not to share with the world.”

The world needs you, and your unique combination of strengths, abilities, wisdom, perspectives and contributions!  There are things about you that are just “too good not to share with the world!”

In my opinion, one of the basic obligations, in your life and mine, is to identify those things we can and should share with the world… and then do so!

One way to effectively pay for your space in this world is to give.  Pay for the millions of things you enjoy as a result of the contributions of those who came before you.  Pay your way by paying it forward!

You are unique!  You have many strengths!  You have much experience!  You have much wisdom!  You have unique perspectives!  No one, in the entire world, has your unique combination of all of the above.

What will you contribute that is “too good not to share with the world?

The world is waiting, wanting and watching!
