Simple Truths – 212° Service

In a delightful short video titled 212° Service, publisher Simple Truths brings us a great collection of just what their name promises – simple truths.

The video’s premise is that at 211°, water is very hot, but at °212 it boils – that one extra degree makes all the difference! If we apply the concept of 212° service to our organizations and to ourselves as leaders, what a difference we can make! Our organizations and our leadership can go from “good” to “great!”

Here are a few great quotes taken from 212° Service:

“With boiling water comes steam… and steam can power a locomotive! It’s that one extra degree that makes all the difference.”

“When hiring someone, start with the premise that attitudes are contagious. Then ask yourself… ‘Is theirs worth catching?’”

“Never forget that 212° service is not only about serving your customers… it’s also about serving each other! In fact, your customers must come second… your people must come first! Why? Because your people will only treat the customers as well as they’re being treating.”

“Remember the 6 words that every employee loves to hear: ‘What can I do to help?’”

“Creating a 212° service culture can start with a ‘ripple’ and turn into a tidal wave. 212° service can turn apathy into passion, boredom into fun, and satisfied customers into raving fans. It can take your company from good to great!”

“The greatest management principle in the world is this… things that get rewarded and appreciated get done!”

This short video is chock-full of universally applicable principles and timeless wisdom! Watch the video – I guarantee it will be 3 minutes well spent!
