“Personalized Care” A Commitment Worth Making – A Promise Worth Keeping

Sometimes you get lucky… very lucky.  Luck, of course, almost always occurs when preparation meets opportunity.

Earlier this week, I had the great honor and privilege of presenting and leading a discussion for 200 leaders of Affinity Health System, a highly successful integrated health system located in Northeastern Wisconsin.  The presentation/discussion was titled,Leadership Excellence: The Ultimate Strategy for Success.  The focus of this presentation and discussion was on execution.  Execution is obviously an extremely important element of leadership and success in any environment or situation, whether personal or professional.

The brand promise of Affinity Health is “Personalized Care.”  Affinity Health team members deliver on their promise by listening… treating those they serve with respect… and putting the needs and interests of those they serve first.  This sounds simple!  However, consistent execution of this promise across and throughout an integrated healthcare system is far from simple.

Dan Neufelder, the highly successful president and CEO of Affinity Health will tell you that consistent delivery of Personalized Care is hard work… both mental and physical.  Consistent delivery of Personalized Care demands daily discipline, focus and a crystal clear understanding of what Personalized Care is, from the perspective of those being served.  The leadership and team members of Affinity Health understand that those they serve want Personalized Care close to home, when and where they need it.  And, Affinity Health is delivering!

Talk about an inspirational team and organization that lives its mission, promise and values!  These people are doing many things right… and all for the right reasons.  They are focused on consistent improvement, excellence, execution and service to others.  Most of their quality and customer service scores are above the 90th percentile for all hospitals in America!  Yes, that is for all hospitals in America.  This organization and its team members obviously have their act together!

Every human being in the world, including every person who reads this article wants Personalized Care.  Not just Personalized Care regarding healthcare.  Every human being wants… in fact, virtually craves Personalized Care in every aspect of their lives, whether personal, professional or organizational.  And therein is a huge, life-long opportunity for each and every one of us!

Personalized Care is not only a powerful brand promise, it is a powerful way to be, to live, to execute, to serve… in every area of our lives… for the rest of our lives.  The desire for Personalized Care is universal and virtually limitless.

The leaders of Affinity Health know where they want to go, who and what they want to become, as well as why and how they want to get there.   How about you?  Have you taken the time to carefully think through your future in terms of where you want to go, who and what you want to become, as well as why and how you want to get there?

Like the very talented and inspiring Affinity Health team in Northeastern Wisconsin, with proper preparation, commitment, focus and discipline, you can deliver Personalized Care to all of those you serve.

Promise to provide PERSONALIZED CARE to all of those you serve… by listening… treating others with respect… and putting the needs and interests of those you serve first.  Then… deliver!  Now there is a guaranteed formula for success!
