A Winning Combination

Feed, nurture and exercise mind and body… simultaneously for exponential potential and guaranteed results.  A winning combination for successful people!

John is an avid walker.  When home in Dallas, he walks 3 to 5 times a week in an upscale, multi level shopping mall called the Galleria.  Typically he walks briskly around the interior perimeter of this beautiful building, in order to maximize the length of his walk while enjoying the fully enclosed, temperature controlled, safe environment.  John has found that rain or shine, hot or cold, the Galleria is always a great place for a heart-healthy walk, as well as burning off some of those excess, unhealthy calories.

John uses his walk time wisely.  In addition to great exercise, John uses this precious time to think, reflect, plan, brainstorm, create, visualize and imagine things as they could be.  He saves his best thoughts via a small digital recorder.  Those thoughts are then downloaded to his laptop for further reflection.  Some of those “best thoughts” are ultimately discarded but others result in strategies and tactics to be carried out in order to more effectively achieve John’s personal and professional goals and dreams.

John also frequently uses this invigorating walk time to carefully listen to and learn from experts from around the world via CDs, DVDs and now via MP3 or iPod digital players.  You might catch a glimpse of John smiling or even laughing as he listens to a humorous story told by a world-renowned expert who was making an important point in a speech delivered somewhere in the USA or around the world.  Even though totally engaged in a delightful learning experience, John never breaks stride.

John encourages his mind to feast, reflect and act on the words, thoughts, concepts, observations, wisdom, predictions and recommendations of experts from around the world.  The value, opportunity and potential are almost indescribable.  Talk about your ultimate mental “all you can eat” buffet!

Like all human beings, John is a creature of habit. He knows that each and every human being ultimately becomes a slave to good habits and/or bad habits.  A very large percentage of every person’s life is completely dominated and controlled by habits.  John resolved to create the good habit of combining exercise with feeding, nurturing, expanding and using his most precious asset… his mind.

Regardless of who, what, when, or where you are, there is a very important lesson here for each of us.  In some form or fashion, John’s plan and intentional habit of successfully combining physical and mental exercise can truly invigorate your life.  And, it’s convenient, inexpensive and accessible to every person reading this message.  If you can walk or do any form of exercise, all of the value, fun, opportunity and potential described above are available to you.

Feed, nurture, and use your precious mind… the only mind you will ever have.  Stretch, exercise and nurture your precious body… the only body you will ever have.  Feed, nurture and exercise mind and body simultaneously for exponential potential and results.  Now that’s a winning, successful combination for sure!!
